Corrections policy
If we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and tell you what changed.

How to report an error
Use the contact form and choose “A correction,” or email hello@mortgageadvicedaily.com. Please include:
- the link to the article,
- the sentence or number you think is wrong, and
- if you can, the official source that shows the correct information.
What happens next
- We acknowledge correction reports within 2 business days.
- We check the claim against primary sources such as the CFPB, HUD, FHFA, Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.
- If the article is wrong, we fix it and add a dated correction note at the end of the article explaining what changed.
- If the article was right, we reply to explain why and which source supports it.
Corrections versus updates
- Correction: the article contained an error when it was published or last updated. We fix it and add a visible correction note.
- Update: the rules changed after we published (for example, new yearly loan limits). We revise the article, change the “updated” date and, where useful, say what changed.
- Review: we re-checked the article and nothing needed to change. Only the “reviewed” date moves.
Serious errors
If an error could have led a reader to a costly decision, for example a wrong deadline or a wrong eligibility rule, we correct it the same business day we confirm it and place the correction note near the top of the article.
Corrections log
No corrections have been published yet. When they are, each correction will appear on the article it affects, with the date and a short description of the change.
